In the second segment of the course, I talk about how to tend to your mental and emotional well-being and why it’s so important. Our lives are busy and complicated, and full of things like stress, anxiety, overwhelm, even bad moods. We can’t ignore those parts of our lives but unfortunately many people do. We tend to push through them and pretend they aren’t there, or we end up creating negative habits in order to deal with them.
This segment dives into how to deal with these issues head on and develop tools that you can use when facing the tough issues in your life. As always, there are practical tips and realistic action-steps.
Mind + Body Connection
This is an exciting segment for me because I get to share with you one of my greatest self-care tools: yoga! Keep an open mind here. If you automatically thought, “I can’t do yoga. This isn’t for me.” Give it a chance. We won’t be doing any type of advance postures or power yoga. This is simply an introduction to the tools yoga offers to cultivate the relationship between the mind and body.
I’ll walk you through the steps to starting your own home yoga practice!
The Action Plan
The final segment of the course is the most important and powerful part: the action plan. We’ll take everything we learned in the first three segments and create a 4-week plan, customized to your schedule, lifestyle, and goals. Don’t worry if this sounds too overwhelming. I will walk you through the process and you’ll only need to set one or two goals to begin. Real life change is gradual but doesn’t happen without a plan. This is a powerful tool that you will be able to keep for life and revisit as many times as you need.
